Let’s face it, I’m not that interesting.

I’m Em. It’s short for Emma. But Em is nice, like the auntie in the Wizard of Oz. I like musicals a great deal and I sing all the time, regardless of whether I hit the right notes. I can’t dance for toffee though, so my dream of playing Elphaba in the West End has been shattered already. I also like history, historical fiction, plays and movies based on historical events and so on and so forth. British history leaves me cold, I’m so much more interested in the history of Europe as a whole. I hope to be able to expand my interests at university, along with knowledge of sociology, which fascinates me. I live near London now but will be leaving for Brighton halfway through September. Which is fab because the love of my entire existence also lives near there. And also, it’s near the seaside and I love the seaside. I am a summer baby and thus, winter leaves me cold both figuratively and literally. Summer is when I’m happiest, normally because I’m travelling. New places are exciting to me, as are old ones. I have an unhealthy dependence on TV shows and my ships, especially Doctor Who and Warehouse 13, in which I ship pretty much everything. I also get incredibly angry at Hollywood remakes of either old or foreign language films. On that note, Noomi Rapace is my Lisbeth Salander and 11 is my Doctor. I listen to far too much Sara Bareilles and Billie the Vision and the Dancers which make me happy.

I swear a lot and this blog is quickly becoming the Anna and Em experience, but I’m friendly and I like to talk to people.
